GCC is recruiting


Guildford Community Church is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Male Part-time Youth and Children’s Worker to work alongside female workers, for 9 to 12 hours a week.  This role is paid (£10 p/h).

The successful candidate will be a committed Christian who is passionate about worshipping God and seeks to inspire and lead others to do the same, as well as having some experience of working with young people and children. Primarily working as part of a small team to provide a safe, fun and informal environment where children and young people can grow in their relationship with God.  

We need someone available: fortnightly, on alternating Tuesday and Thursday evenings; Sunday mornings; 1 Saturday or Sunday evening per month; with further meeting and planning times that are more flexible to fit in with other commitments.

Qualities required:

An understanding of and commitment to the Guildford Community Church statement of faith and mission statement. (essential)

Previous experience of helping deliver a programme of Christian activities with children and young people. (desirable)

The ability to pray, plan, prepare and facilitate activities with children and young people. (essential)

An understanding of the values and principles underpinning Christian children and youth work. (desirable)

Ability to lead or help lead Christian worship. (desirable)
